Shawn Hennessy is the Senior Pastor of Life Church Green Bay, an international guest speaker, an author, a blogger, Chaplain of The Green Bay Packers, co-founder of The Exchange, a proud parent to Isaiah & Aubree and a loving, committed husband to Sonny Hennessy.

After graduating from High School in Windsor Ontario, Shawn headed to the U.S. to play college football. He was fortunate enough to enjoy some success on the gridiron eventually receiving All-American honors and playing in 3 National All-Star games.

When it became evident that he was not going to play in the NFL, he & Sonny headed south to Memphis, TN to begin their journey into full-time ministry. In the last 20 years, Shawn has served as a Youth Pastor, a full-time Evangelist, a State Youth Director and as a Lead Campus Pastor. Shawn is the author of “The Gravity of Grief” and “What’s Your Story?”, “Life, It’s Time to Dream” and “Jesus.Plus.Life. Guys Edition.”

Shawn’s mission in life is to help people realize just how much Jesus has to offer them, and to give them the tools and inspiration to pursue more for their lives. His newest podcast, The Rise After the Fall is a passion project for he and Sonny’s next step to help Pastors and Leaders who have fallen or are on the verge of a fall.

Sonny Hennessy

Lead Pastor

Sonny Hennessy is the Lead Pastor at Life Church Green Bay where she leads the staff and the church. She serves with her husband, Shawn who is the Senior Pastor and the Chaplain of the Green Bay Packers since 2019.

She is the co-founder, with Shawn, of The Exchange Collaborative which is a nonprofit leading Leaders and Pastors into restoration, refreshing, and mentoring starting with their podcast, The Rise After the Fall and culminating in the option to come to their North Carolina property called, The Reserve; A 20 acre estate with boutique hotel accommodations.

Sonny is also the CEO of The Exchange Brand which she launched in 2018 with four marketplaces she established and designed; A Coffee, Eatery & Mercantile, A Salon & Parlor, and two Airbnb apartments. Sonny is the owner of the award-winning design firm, Sonny Hennessy Design. Her first building received 2 awards: “Wisconsin Mainstreet Award for Best Renovation of a Historic Building” and “De Pere’s Best Historical Society Award.”

A Sonny Look at the Bible, The Cheery Conversations Podcasts, and her YouTube Channel have reached thousands already. Sonny is an author, a speaker, and a business coach and culture consultant for startups, entrepreneurs and corporate management. She travels to speak at churches and at Corporate Conferences nationally.

Most important to Sonny is her greatest accomplishments; her healthy marriage to Shawn and their close bond with their kids, Isaiah James and Aubree Rose.
