ADVENTURELAND

Making a BIG deal about kids, because kids are a BIG deal!

Life Church places HIGH value on kids and the next generation! Adventureland is our environment for preschool-aged kids (6 weeks-old to 5 years of age). In Adventureland, we are super intentional about everything we do. We do everything we can to create environments and build a team of leaders who invest in the lives of kids to ultimately connect them to Jesus! We know that a parent has 936 weeks between a child’s birth and graduation which is why we strategically partner with parents to be the best tool or resource available to them in influencing their kids. We are intentional about:

• Understanding and leveraging what is happening in the stages of kids’ lives.

• Partnering with families at pivotal transitions.

• Teaching comprehensively from preschool through high school.

• Training leaders in how to best lead specific age groups.

• Resourcing parents to interact with kids at home.

We want every kid to love God because when kids love God, it deepens their faith. And when kids love God, it leads to loving others. And when kids love others, it leads to stronger relationships. And when kids love God, it leads to loving themselves. And when kids love themselves, it leads to smarter decisions!!

BABIES

We know it can be a little overwhelming to leave your baby for the first time. We have a team of volunteers who love babies and can’t wait for your little one to arrive. Please bring any diapers, bottles, pacifiers and/or blankets to help soothe your baby through the morning. Also, be sure to label any belongings you bring with you.

WALKERS

Our walker room is for our little ones who have entered a whole new world – the world of being a toddler. This is an exciting time as they begin the stage of insisting on doing things for themselves. We begin our teaching plan in the walker room that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Toddlers are very mobile and we allow for a lot of flexibility in our morning.

2 YEAR OLDS

This is such a fun and very busy stage of your child’s life. As busy and independent as your little one is at this stage, they are also learning new skills and developing confidence they need in order to move to the next stage. Their morning is filled with a Bible story, a hands-on craft, and an interactive lesson which builds in them that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

3 YEAR OLDS

Fun is the key when you are three! Their morning is not only filled with fun, but also focused on teaching them all about God! They will participate in a lesson that involves an interactive story, singing, hands-on craft time and prayer. You will also see the amazing playscape in the lobby, which is where your three year-old will spend a portion of their class time having fun with their friends and teachers.

4 YEAR OLDS

This is the age when the word “why” becomes part of your household’s regular vocabulary. Why? Why? Why? Your four year-old wants to know what is happening in the world around them so they will spend their morning learning a lot about God’s love for them, how God made them and how Jesus wants to be their friend forever. They participate in an interactive lesson that includes a story, music, craft, illustration and prayer. Your 4 year old will also spend time with their friends in our amazing playscape.

5 YEAR OLDS

This is such a great age as 5 year-olds love to talk and have everyone’s attention and we just love it. We love that kids talk, ask questions and are excited to learn. A ton of interactive learning is exactly what happens in your 5 year-olds classroom! Not only do they do all of this, they also participate weekly in Club 252’s rockin’ worship and have scheduled playscape time as part of their morning.

Need to Know

Check-In:

When you enter the lobby, look to your right and you will see signage that says, “new kids.” It’s is located underneath the large glass windows looking into the playscape. All new families register their kids here. We will guide you through the registration process and everything you need to know before entering Adventureland. If you are bringing a diaper bag, the check-in team will give you a specific bag tag. You are able to check-in your child 15 minutes prior to each service time.

During Service:

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification code (located on the security tag you receive at check-in) will appear on the screen in the auditorium. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

Pick-up:

At check-in, every parent will receive a security ticket that matches their child(ren)’s name tag. This ticket needs to be presented at the time of pick up to the appropriate teacher or classroom leader. Please have this ticket ready before approaching the counter as it helps us to keep lines and wait time short. All children checked into children’s ministries on Sunday morning are to be picked up immediately following service.

Playscape:

Children 3 years of age and up will have the opportunity to play in our larger-than-life playscape during their classtime. It is especially helpful if all children wear socks to church or bring a pair with them, as socks are required in the playscape.

Special Needs:

Prior to visiting Life Church and checking in to the Life Kids area, please call the office at (920) 632-4343 regarding how we can best assist you. Our Special Needs Director will work with you around a plan that works best for each child.

Baby Dedication:

For information regarding Baby Dedications please see the Welcome Center for the info card on Sunday morning. We rejoice with you in dedicating your baby to the God. Baby dedications aren’t required for your baby to make it to heaven….they are already in as babies if something were to happen on earth! We try to help people understand the ceremony of doing baby dedications is just a public declaration that you as a parent will raise your child loving Jesus and seeing Jesus in your home. You modeling a Jesus life helps your kids, when they are old enough, make the conscious decision to follow Jesus. Download the Baby Dedication Guide
